Queen of Hearts Costumes Store Policies

These policies govern all sales made by Queen of Hearts Costumes. By buying from Queen of Hearts Costumes you accept and agree to be bound by these policies.

How quickly do you ship?

We will ship your order within two business days if all products are in stock. Our business week is Monday through Saturday. If you need it express, let us know and we will call you with shipping options.  If products are not in stock, we will ship them as soon as they are available. If you need an item by a specific deadline, please make a note on your order during checkout so we can get your item to you by your deadline.

Where do you ship to?

We ship to Canada, the United States, and internationally.

How much will shipping cost?

It depends greatly on the weight of your package, the carrier you choose, as well as your destination. We offer shipping via Canada Post and FedEx.  Our shipping rates to the Continental US and Canadian Provinces are below. Please call for a quote for the Canadian Territories, Hawaii, Alaska, and for international shipping.

How quickly will my merchandise arrive?

For Canada Post to Canada and FedEx to the U.S., your shipment should arrive within seven days of receiving your shipping notification. For FedEx to Canada, you should receive your shipment within four days of receiving your notification. We are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping company.

You shipped me the wrong item or a broken item!

First of all, we’re so sorry!  A human being inspects every item before it goes out (especially costumes!), and we don’t ship anything that doesn’t meet our high standards of quality.  If somehow we have shipped you the wrong item (the correct item being what you ordered originally) or a broken item, get in touch with us ASAP!  The confirmation of a manufacturer's defect is at the sole discretion of Queen of Hearts Costumes.  We will need a picture of the damage via email, and we will arrange to exchange the item for a new one at our expense.

What’s your return policy?

We only accept returns for manufacturer defects up to 7 days after delivery of your order.  Items shipped correctly and without manufacturer's defects are ineligible for refunds or exchanges.  Please call us to let us know that you wish to return a product with details of the defect and email us a picture as well.  The confirmation of a manufacturer's defect is at the sole discretion of Queen of Hearts Costumes.  Refunds are for the price of the merchandise only.  Shipping, Handling, and Return Shipping charges are not refundable.  Returns may be subject to a 30% restocking fee at the sole discretion of Queen of Hearts Costumes. 

Any item that has been used, worn, altered, damaged, or is missing components or any of the original packaging is ineligible for a refund.  Due to the Hallowe'en season, we cannot process refunds for products purchased between September 10th and November 10th.

The following categories of items are never eligible for return:

  • Makeup
  • Prosthetics
  • Hosiery
  • Socks
  • Hot pants
  • Facial hair
  • Hairspray
  • Teeth
  • Eyelashes
  • Corsets
  • Pierced Earrings

The following categories of items are not eligible for return if the packaging has been opened:

  • Wig caps

Anything else that needs to be said?

Just two things. First, Queen of Hearts Costumes makes no other warranty, other than described here, expressed or implied, about any of its products, including, but not limited to, the suitability of any of its products for a particular purpose.

Second, these terms, conditions and policies shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. If any of these terms, conditions, or policies should be held to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be considered fully severable and this agreement shall be as if such provision had never been a part of this agreement.
